Chapter One

Jack heard the scream echoing through the warehouse. The explosion had caused the whole building to collapse. He shuffled through the debris. "Where are you?" he said. "Jack?" a weak voice echoed. How did she know his name? He ran towards the noise, he saw a blonde girl covered in blood. He didn't have to look closely to realize that there was no way that she would survive. He knelt down beside her. She looked at him with her blue eyes. "Run." she muttered. It took a moment for it to register. He watched as her hands began to glow. It was impossible. It had been two months. Jack was helping Jenny find her father, but in the mean time they still looked into alien activity.

"Where are we going?" Jenny asked as she stepped into the passenger seat of Jack's car.

"Oxford." Jack replied.

"Whats that?"

"A university."

"Whats a university?"

"A school."

"Oh. Why are we going there?"

"Because of this." Jack handed her a newspaper article.

"I'm a clever girl. I went to the Library and read up on you. A lot of interesting stuff, by the way. I saw that you were mostly seen in 21st century London, so that is where I went. I stole a shuttle from Messaline and flew through the rift and crashed into a ware house just before it blew up." she said.

"Good. Clever." he said. "So captain, what trouble are we looking at?"

"Boy genius on the verge of finding a way to time travel." Jack replied.
